09:08...Marty gets her gear ready to negotiate the lower chamber at Ardnacrusha. We always use a short rope to secure "Arthur" as we negotiate the two chambers at Ardnacrusha. And a boat hook is also a necessity.

DAY 52 - Tuesday, 16th August, 2017
And so, Arthur's Coastal Cruise 2017 comes to an end. We prepare to depart maddens Marina and head for Galway. Just have to shoot a few more photos and then it's a wrap!
So, that's it for 2017. As far as the crew is concerned it was a super Coastal Cruise.
Highlights for us...
First the locations...
- BBQ and overnight at Rossmore
- Dingle Marina - always enjoy this location
- Sneem - a tick on my Bucket List
- Lawrence Cover Marina - we always enjoy stopping here
- Baltimore - another tick on my Bucket List
- Kinsale - yet another tick on my Bucket List
- Sherkin Island - and another tick on my Bucket List
And of course our saga with the fog at Fastnet Rock will be permanently etched in our memory banks!
And the people...so many that it would be impossible to list them all individually without committing the faux-pas of leaving someone out.
And a special tribute to Mary H who performed her boating duties with diligence and efficiency and then produced a non-stop supply of fabulous meals throughout the 52 days.
The cruise will provide memories for the winter months that follow. And the photos and videos will give opportunities to re-live the various moments long into the future.
Already looking forward to Arthur's Coastal Cruise 2018.
