DAY 48 - Saturday, 12th August, 2017
14:02...We had a quiet day yesterday. Walked around the town and did a little shopping. Today we are planning to head to Foynes where we will overnight before heading to Limerick on Sunday morning.
We will have visitors for the passage to Foynes. Claire Jenkinson (nee Campbell) together with hubby Nigel and their son Ruiari will accompany us to Foynes. Claire is a former student of mine from my time as a lecturer in the Hotel School at RTC Galway/GMIT.

07:40... "Arthur" at Custom House Quay before we depart for Killaloe via Ardnacrusha. We rafted overnight at Custom House Quay and now we are preparing for the last passage before we enter non-salty water!
