DAY 50 - Tuesday, 11th August, 2015
09:19...Arthur in her berth at Kilrush Marina. We are prepping for our passage to Limerick on the fiftieth day since we departed Maddens Marina at the end of June.

Circa 10:00...We need to re-fuel prior to our departure. We tie up at the newly introduced self-service Diesel Station at Kilrush Marina which we are about to use for the first time.
We help ourselves to some diesel! The new self-service diesel station at Kilrush Marina. The large display on touchscreen shows Total Cost in € at top, Consumption in litres on middle row and price per litre is shown on third row. Very handy and very easy to use.

15:15... arriving at Custom House Quay. Passage time from Kilrush approx. five hours.
And so our 2015 Coastal Cruise comes to an end. Another two items ticked on the Bucket List....Adrigole and Dursey Sound. The former a little disappointing and the latter quite beautiful. In truth, the weather had a bearing on our reaction to each location. We will do Adrigole again on a nice sunny day. And we will certainly transit Dursey Sound again...in fact it might become a default option when passaging between Dingle and Bantry Bay.
And Glengarriff and Bantry Harbour (despite our mishap when attempting to snag a mooring buoy) are special places to visit and will remain on our itinerary any time we are in Bantry Bay.
So, as we look forward to Arthur's Coastal Cruise 2016, we remember the wonderful time that we had in 2015.
If you have never visited the 'salty' before perhaps you might consider putting it on your Bucket List. Watch the weather and all should be well and as some of the photos in this PhotoJournal attest, conditions at sea can be as calm as on the inland waters.
And no matter where your boat takes you, enjoy safe and happy sailing.
