My glorious golden reeds in full bloom. They seem to have benefitted from the mild weather. Not looking tired and sorry like this time last year!

  • Saturday, 17th December, 2011....circa 10.00 hrs. Maddens Marina, Portumna. Decided to head to Banagher for a last cruise before Christmas. Weather glorious. Sunshine and a clear sky. What more could one ask for. Ok, no smart replies!
  • A calm river and a blue sky...all the way!

  • Why can we not get weather like this in the summer!
  • Just below Meelick Lock. Plenty of bird activity in the flooded fields.

  • Banagher Bridge as viewed from Silverline Marina at circa 15.30 hrs.
  • Water levels high as can be seen from this photo of Banagher Harbour.
  • Sunday, 18th December, 2011. Moored at an almost deserted Silverline Marina. Only a single Silverline boat was left in the water.
  • And the public harbour still almost totally deserted.
  • Sunday, 18th December, 2011 circa16:15 hrs. Banagher Bridge...gotta love those colours. Heading home tomorrow.
