  • Friday evening, 1st July, 2011 ... Besie (Shane & Alice Ward) makes the short trip from Butlers Marina to join "Arthur" on the public jetty at Carrick-on-Shannon.
  • Saturday, 2nd July 2011... Courtesy of Shane & Alice we took a day trip to Lough Rynn Castle Hotel.

  • Afternoon tea was a must! Well, more correctly, Shane & Alice had tea whilst Paul & Mary had a G&T!

  • Upon our return to Carrick we were nearly tempted to take a trip on Moon River which operates river cruises from the quayside opposite the Landmark Hotel.

  • Crew of Aquarius, Robert & Phyllis Navan, who had just particpated on the first CIC on the Royal Canal.

  • Rayian with her crew, Sean Murphy and his wife, all the way from Portumna, enjoying the good weather over the weekend at Carrick. Sean, a long-time member of the IWAI, is the author of the booklet 'Shannon Skipper'.
  • Monday, 4th July, 2011...circa 13.00hrs...Shane & Alice bid farewell to Arthur and her crew...until we meet again!
