Thursday morning, June 30th, 2011. Breakfast time...for Mary's local duck friends!

  • Drumsna Harbour.
  • View from the bridge in the village..."Arthur" in the distance.
  • "Arthur" berthed in Drumsna Harbour.
  • Main Street, Drumsna. The village has two food stores and at least one pub!
  • Drumsna...the duck capital of Ireland! This has to be the most duck friendly location on the Shannon!
  • And they remain in place as you walk by...Well used to humans, methinks!

  • Mary's duck friends...these three visited after we had finished dinner and they were the recipients of bread bits from Mary who proceeded to feed them while I swung my camera into action.

  • This fellow was barely a hand's length away! No fear on them. They munched away and then came back for more!

  • We made the short trip back down the channel to Albert Lock.
  • We tied up at the waiting jetty. Different to what I remember from five years ago!
