  • Lanesborough Bridge straddles two counties...
  • Monday, 26th June, 2011, Main Street, Lanesborough. We walked into the town and shopped at the local SuperValu.
  • Looking upstream from the bridge with Hanleys Marina in the distance...
  • Circa 16.00 we departed Lanesboro and headed for Tarmonbarry...This section of the navigation reminded us of the River Suck...

  • Over the coming days we encountered many cruisers on the water.

  • In just under an hour of gentle cruising we arrived at Tarmonbarry Lock....
  • The Camlin River...just before you reachTarmonbarry Lock.
  • 'This Way Up' on visitor's moorings in Tarmon Harbour...
  • The 'lifting' bridge in the distance as viewed from Tarmonbarry Lock. Public jetties to port as you exit the lock. A nice little Centra store is within short walking distance.
