And the vie from the port side!

• Friday, 4th March 2011, "Arthur" in Maddens Marina complete with her new window covers courtesy of Boat Covers Ireland. This is our first visit since Captain was laid up for ten days due to an attack of Camplyobacter which is ...no, we do not want to go there. Done and dusted. Fully recovered and rearing to get back on the water.
• And the vie from the port side!
• We overnighted at the marina and then headed for the noon bridge opening after a quick phonecall to Christy...just to be sure, to be sure!

Very calm water...almost felt guilty for creating the light wake!
• Water like glass...
• And the reeds were looking a lot better than they did in the previous couple of months. The colour is returning...Spring is coming!
• There is a fog about and visibility is not at its best...
• The maintenance work on Portumna bridge is ongoing....
• Untitled photo
• One up....one down, to quote Joe Treacy who was standing on the quayside and photographed us as we passed through the bridge.
• circa 12.42...coming abreast of Kilgarvan, A coupe of anglers in the distance.
• The calm water being disturbed by Arthur's progress...
• An overcast day but totally wind free...
• Our fishfinder was showing a blank...was tempted to suggest that they re-locate...
• Untitled photo
• Just look at the reflection close to the shoreline...
• Visibility poor...
• A nice shaft of light shines through an otherwise overcast sky...
• Untitled photo
• Natural beauty on Lough Derg...
• Approaching Benjamin Rocks...
